Siripa Demands Answers on Missing 57 Million Liters of Oil, Urges Government to Stop Deflecting and Reveal The Masked Man Behind Oil Syndicate

Siripa, deputy spokesperson of the Democrat Party, demands answers about the disappearance of 57 million liters of oil—whether it is floating in the middle of the sea or has already been exported abroad. She insists that verification is straightforward through transport invoices and vessel tracking systems, urging the government to reveal the truth to the public.

On 4 April 2026, Ms. Siripa Intawichian, deputy spokesperson of the Democrat Party, commented on the statement by Pol. Lt. Gen. Rutthapol Nawarat, Minister of Justice, who announced that a massive quantity of 57 million liters of oil had gone missing during transportation from the oil depot to the destination. She questioned the actual whereabouts of this vast amount of oil—whether it truly is adrift at sea as rumors suggest, or if it has been illegally exported out of the country.

The Democrat Party deputy spokesperson stated that the missing 57 million liters of oil can be verified quite easily according to standard procedures.

1. Transport invoices: Every time a vessel loads oil from a refinery, it must receive a transport invoice clearly specifying the origin, destination, type of product being transported, and the oil company for whom the transport is conducted.

2. Vessel tracking system: Current technology allows real-time monitoring of vessel locations, showing where each ship is docked or traveling, via international maritime traffic monitoring websites.

3. Authorized oil loaders: Transport vessels act only as "carriers" and have no rights to purchase oil directly from refineries. Only oil companies defined under Section 7, which are few in Thailand, have such rights.

Ms. Siripa suggested that if oil has indeed disappeared from the system, it could only happen if the refinery permitted an illegal vessel to load oil, or if the authorized oil companies under Section 7 altered the transport destination. She called on the government to stop deflecting the issue to benefit oil business interests.

"I urge the government to fully disclose the truth to the public, revealing who is the real 'masked man' behind the disappearance of the 57 million liters of oil," she said.
