Pakamon criticized the Election Commission's investigation into the Specter case aimed at obstructing the People's Party. She fears the case of "flagging" will destroy the orange faction again and calls for an end to freezing the country, allowing democratic mechanisms to compete in elections.
On 4 April 2026, Ms. Pakamon Noonanan, a party-list MP of the People's Party (PChn.), commented on reports that the Election Commission (EC) is investigating a petition to dissolve the People's Party over issues related to holding shares or using services of Specter C Co., Ltd., which is accused of benefiting and sharing profits improperly. She said this is currently only a rumor awaiting clarification from the EC but personally believes such efforts to dissolve the party should stop.
Ms. Pakamon affirmed that the People's Party has clear evidence and facts to prove its innocence. However, historically, the "orange faction" has frequently been "flagged" for destruction. No matter how strong the evidence, if the case has political motives, that evidence often holds little weight in the eyes of investigators. She called on both petitioners and recipients to feel some shame because the country has regressed and remained stagnant due to people who claim to act in the nation's interest but are actually part of undermining democracy.
"They should ask themselves whether what they are doing or the flags they plant to destroy political parties are right. Every Election Commissioner will retire someday. When you go home and see the country stuck in place, remember that you share half the blame for holding the country back. Do you want to be that kind of elder?" Pakamon said.
The People's Party spokesperson concluded by saying they do not want the issue seen just as a legal matter but to be considered with human common sense and reason. Even if one does not support the People's Party, they should still show mercy to Thailand. Destroying political institutions is contrary to national development. She urged the EC to quickly clarify doubts about the previous election results before creating new issues because public trust in independent organizations is currently very low. She called on them to hold back and let democracy proceed as it should.
