Chaiwat Urges Prime Minister to Urgently Resolve Soaring Fuel Crisis, Proposes Discount Coupons and Special-Priced Goods

Chaiwat, leader of the Rakchat Party, calls on the Prime Minister to urgently resolve the soaring fuel crisis before it escalates and causes unbearable hardship for the people. He proposes distributing discount coupons and special-priced products, along with accelerating aid for vulnerable groups.

5 Apr 2026 GMT+7 Chaiwat Thanakmanusorn, leader of the Rakchat Party (Rakchat). ) He spoke about the sharply rising fuel prices, noting that the government will soon have full authority to govern following its policy address to parliament. This will enable the government to define clear and targeted measures to assist the public. He urged all speakers to help propose solutions to the government, and for those suffering from various problems to bring their issues to the government so policies and approaches can be set to support the people, which is the most important matter.

Chaiwat further stated, Securing funds to manage the problem, whether through borrowing or other means, is a crucial and urgent task. He proposed initial relief measures such as distributing “discount coupons” to help ease the burden of rising fuel costs, as well as preparing special-priced goods to reduce living expenses for the public. These measures must be implemented promptly by the government. At the same time, he called on the government to quickly provide care and relief to vulnerable groups, including low-income earners and farmers, as they are inevitably affected by this crisis.

Meanwhile, Chaiwat also shared an interesting opinion for the government, saying that who takes the energy ministry position is less important than the role itself. Whoever manages energy is not the key point; what matters is that the Prime Minister, as the leader and head of government, must urgently find measures to help the people before the crisis worsens and the public suffers unbearably.
