
The Cabinet held a special meeting to appoint Wannor, Atthapol, and Phempoon as advisors to the Prime Minister, and also appointed Ratchada as the government spokesperson.
At 12:00 PM on 6 April 2026, reporters at the Government House reported that in the Cabinet's special evening meeting on 6 April, besides approving the draft government policy statement to be presented to Parliament on 9-10 April and establishing a new center to manage and monitor the conflict situation in the Middle East, the Cabinet also considered appointments of political officials. These include three advisors to the Prime Minister: Mr. Wan Muhamadnor Mata, chairman of the Prachachart Party advisory board and former Speaker of Parliament, appointed chairman of the Prime Minister's advisory committee; Police General Phempoon Chidchob, former Minister of Education; and Mr. Atthapol Rerkpiboon, Minister of Energy in the first Anutin Cabinet.
In addition, Ms. Ratchada Thanadirek, a party-list candidate from the Bhumjaithai Party, was appointed as the spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office.
