"Ploy Talay" is poised to take the Deputy Government Spokesperson seat after arriving at Government House to submit her credentials for qualification review. She revealed that "Phiphat" invited her to assist with government work and confirmed her readiness to serve.
At 14:30 on 7 April 2026 GMT+7, Ms. Ploy Talay Laksamisangchan, former Phuket MP candidate for Bhumjaithai Party, spoke at Government House after arriving at Building 1, saying Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn invited her to support the government by assigning her the role of Deputy Spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office. As far as she knows, Bhumjaithai Party has two quota seats: Spokesperson and Deputy Spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office. The other Deputy Spokesperson seat is allocated to the Pheu Thai Party (PT).
When asked if she had completed the qualification verification, Ms. Ploy Talay said, she just submitted the documents moments ago and is awaiting the Prime Minister's signature. She stated she is ready to take on the role. When asked if she is well acquainted with Ms. Ratchada Thanadirek, the spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office, Ms. Ploy Talay replied that partly, yes. She has not held this position before and is trying it out now to learn and consult, especially with Ms. Ratchada, so they can work together.
Regarding whether the appointment would take place at the first Cabinet meeting, Ms. Ploy Talay said, "Probably, but I am not sure yet. The Prime Minister will likely announce it."
