
"Ploytalay" is set to take the deputy government spokesperson seat after arriving at Government House to submit her credentials for qualification verification. She revealed that "Phiphat" invited her to assist the government and confirmed her readiness to perform the role.
At 14:30 on 7 Apr 2026 GMT+7, Ms. Ploytalay Laksameesangchan, former Phuket MP candidate from the Bhumjaithai Party, gave an interview at Government House after arriving at Building 1, stating that Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport, invited her to assist the government, assigning her the role of Deputy Spokesperson at the Prime Minister's Office. As far as she knows, Bhumjaithai Party has two quotas: one spokesperson and one deputy spokesperson at the Prime Minister's Office. The other deputy spokesperson position is a quota of the Pheu Thai Party (PT).
When asked if she had completed the qualification verification, Ms. Ploytalay said, she had just submitted the documents and is awaiting the Prime Minister's endorsement. She expressed her readiness to undertake the role. Asked if she is well acquainted with Ms. Rachada Thanadirek, the spokesperson at the Prime Minister's Office, Ms. Ploytalay replied that partly yes, though she has never performed this role before. She will try it out to gain experience and consult especially with Ms. Rachada to collaborate effectively.
Regarding whether the appointment will be made at the first Cabinet meeting, Ms. Ploytalay said, "Probably, but I am not sure. The Prime Minister will likely announce it."
