Anutin has signed the delegation of duties among three new Deputy Ministers of the Interior: Phonphir is in charge of land and electricity; Jeset oversees public works, disaster prevention, and water supply; while Worasit holds responsibility for local administration and Bangkok.
On 8 April 2026, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul signed an Interior Ministry order assigning authority to Deputy Ministers of Interior to act on his behalf, aiming to organize the ministry's management clearly and comprehensively across all affiliated agencies. Anutin supervises the Minister's Office, the Permanent Secretary Office of the Interior Ministry, and the Department of Provincial Administration. Deputy Minister Phonphir Suwannachawi is assigned to oversee the Department of Lands and the Community Development Department (CDD), as well as supervise state enterprises: the Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) and the Metropolitan Electricity Authority (MEA).
Deputy Minister Jeset Thaiset is tasked with commanding and managing the Department of Public Works and Town & Country Planning and the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM), while supervising the state enterprises: the Provincial Waterworks Authority (PWA) and the Metropolitan Waterworks Authority (MWA).
Deputy Minister Worasit Liangprasit commands and manages the Department of Local Administration (DLA) and Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA), while overseeing state enterprises: the Wastewater Management Authority (WMA) and the Market Organization (MO).
The order specifies two categories of authority: “command and administration,” which grants deputy ministers the power to issue orders, grant permissions, or approve tasks under laws and regulations as supervisors; and “supervision,” which involves overseeing state enterprises to ensure their operations align with their founding objectives and government policies, including the authority to halt actions contradicting cabinet resolutions and to order investigations into facts.
