At 7:00 a.m. on 9 April 2026 GMT+7, reporters reported that Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul paid homage at the Bangkok City Pillar Shrine, a sacred symbol of the city, to seek auspiciousness before proceeding to Parliament to deliver the policy address at 8:30 a.m.
The photos also showed Lieutenant General Adul Boonthamcharoen, Minister of Defence; General Tharapong Malakham, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Defence; and Atsit Sampanrat, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, accompanying the group.
The Prime Minister remained silent on day two, pushing through the media throng to enter the meeting room to prepare for the policy address.
At 8:39 a.m., Anutin, accompanied by ministers from the Bhumjaithai Party, arrived at Parliament to deliver the policy address with a smiling expression. Reporters asked about his excitement for the address and about energy issues, but the Prime Minister did not respond before paying respects to the portrait of His Majesty the King and then pushing through the media to enter the meeting room immediately.
Stopped for breakfast at the Government House cafeteria, ordering stir-fried beef with holy basil and Southern-style yellow curry.
Reporters noted that before traveling to Parliament in the morning, the Prime Minister stopped at Government House to pay respects to the Narasingha statue atop the Thai Khu Fah Building, a daily ritual. Before leaving Government House, he had breakfast at the riverside cafeteria, ordering stir-fried beef with holy basil, Southern yellow curry, and Thai tea.
