"Ink" Paethongtarn and her husband traveled to visit Thaksin at Klong Prem Central Prison. They greeted Thaksin's classmates along with Red Shirt supporters who came to offer encouragement. They declined to speak to the media.
At 09:40 on 9 Apr 2026, Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra, former Prime Minister, and her husband Mr. Pitak Suksawat, representing the family, visited Mr. Thaksin Shinawatra at Klong Prem Central Prison, accompanied by lawyer Mr. Winyat Chatmontri.
Outside the prison, a group of Red Shirt supporters gathered to welcome and support the Shinawatra family members, along with classmates from Montfort College, Chiang Mai, batch MC 08.
Before entering to see Mr. Thaksin, Ms. Paethongtarn warmly greeted the group of Thaksin's school friends.
After about an hour of visiting Mr. Thaksin, Ms. Paethongtarn and Mr. Pitak came out to greet the Montfort College classmates but declined to give interviews to the media before leaving the prison immediately.
When asked about the matter, lawyer Mr. WinyatregardingThaksin's parole, Mr. Winyatalso refusedto answer questions from the media.
