Isariya Pairipairat mocked Anutin's government for presenting the oil crisis relief policy for vulnerable groups in just a single line, asking if he is not ashamed compared to Hun Manet, who cut oil taxes to zero percent and also distributed money to vulnerable labor groups.
On 9 Apr 2026 GMT+7, Isariya Pairipairat, a party-list MP of the People’s Party (PPC), said during a debate that it was very disappointing to read the government policy statement, which mentioned relief measures for vulnerable populations in only one line without specifying when these would start. He questioned whether the government truly prioritized the people's crisis this little. Other countries have responded much better to the oil crisis. For example, in Asia, Japan issued packages giving money to low-income earners and oil subsidies; South Korea distributed cash to help with living costs; Singapore provided aid to taxi drivers and delivery riders; the Philippines announced a four-day workweek and gave cash; Vietnam cut oil taxes and gave cash; and even Cambodia is ahead of us, having reduced oil taxes to zero percent since 21 Mar and also distributing money to vulnerable labor groups.
Isariya added, "I also wonder if Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul will feel ashamed when he next meets Hun Manet, or if he will accept that Cambodia manages the oil crisis better than we do. As of now, we still have no clear relief measures from our government."
