On 9 Apr 2026 GMT+7, at the Air Force Academy, Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul delivered a speech on Air Force Day. He said he was honored and pleased to attend this year's annual Air Force Day reception tonight. First, he thanked and praised all Air Force personnel for their diligent, dedicated, and selfless service, steadfastly committed to protecting the nation’s sovereignty and security. He also acknowledged their vital role in safeguarding the safety of the people’s lives and property. Recently, the Air Force has played a prominent role supporting various government missions, including disaster relief, delivering aid, medical air transport, patient transfers, and national defense—missions of great value and benefit to the country. He commended the Air Force Commander, commanders at all levels, and every Air Force member for their committed, professional service, which has made the Royal Thai Air Force an institution trusted, respected, and a source of pride for the people.
He expressed strong confidence that the Royal Thai Air Force will continue to develop steadily, enhancing personnel capabilities, weaponry, and aviation technology to boost its modern capacity and readiness to meet security challenges on all fronts. Furthermore, strengthening cooperation with allied nations remains an essential mechanism to elevate Thailand’s and the region’s stability and security, ultimately benefiting the people and the nation sustainably.
On this Air Force Day 2026, he extended his best wishes to all Air Force personnel and their families for happiness, prosperity, robust health, strong spirit, career advancement, safety from all dangers, and success in all their endeavors.
Prime Minister Anutin also shared his heartfelt thoughts, saying that since assuming office, during critical decisions regarding the country’s sovereignty, he has trusted all branches of the military—including the Royal Thai Army, Navy, Air Force, and the Royal Thai Police—in making important decisions.
He then broke down in tears and said that he received words that gave them the courage to decide and act in a way that made Thailand respected and victorious in defending their homeland. This was a whispered message from the Air Force Commander; what was whispered, he chose to keep between the two of them.
