Deputy Prime Minister Supachai emphasized the concept of Thailand’s 365-day marvelous tourism as a year-round travel calendar, pointing out that solving the PM2.5 dust problem must be done concurrently.
On 10 Apr 2026 GMT+7, Supachai Suthumpun, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce, addressed the parliament on the policy "365 Days of Marvelous Thailand, Travel Every Day." She explained that this concept leverages Thailand’s potential with tourism seasons rotating throughout the year across regions, but it does not imply that every province is suitable for tourism every day regardless of weather conditions.
Supachai stated that Thailand has a calendar of events and tourist destinations that vary by season, forming a crucial framework for distributing income to local communities and driving sustained growth in the tourism economy.
Regarding the PM2.5 dust situation raised alongside the tourism policy, Supachai noted that air pollution directly affects the public and must be addressed seriously. Relevant agencies are implementing measures to manage root causes, control burning, and enhance air quality monitoring systems to achieve both short- and long-term solutions.
“Advancing tourism policies and resolving particulate matter pollution must proceed simultaneously, ensuring that economic development does not diminish the importance of maintaining citizens’ quality of life,” Supachai said.
