Akkaradej Supports Anutins Government in Tackling Energy Crisis, Proposes 4 Directs Formula to Solve Economy and Support Vulnerable Groups

"Akkaradej" supports Anutin's government in tackling the energy crisis, offering the "4 Directs" formula: direct target, direct point, direct timing, and direct honesty in addressing the economy and supporting vulnerable groups.

On 10 Apr 2026 GMT+7 at the Parliament, Mr. Akkaradej Wongpitakroj, MP for Ratchaburi from the Bhumjaithai Party, rose to debate in support of the government's management under Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, noting that no government desires to govern amid crisis, but once entrusted by the people, it must strive to perform its duties well. He offered this comparison: "People cannot choose their birth; likewise, a government cannot choose to be in office." He also pointed out that this government faces ongoing challenges—from post-COVID conditions, economic crises, to the current energy crisis affecting people's cost of living. Nevertheless, he expressed confidence in the Prime Minister and Cabinet’s commitment to lead the country through these obstacles.

Mr. Akkaradej stated that after studying the economic policies announced by the government, which cover five main areas including overall economy, agriculture, and tourism, he wished to propose a management principle for the Cabinet of all ministries through the formula: "4 Directs" to achieve the highest effectiveness.

1. Direct Target: Screen and identify the most distressed groups, especially vulnerable people, farmers, and low-income laborers.

2. Direct Point: Solve problems aligned with needs, such as reducing production costs and raising crop prices.

3. Direct Timing: Assistance measures must be swift and timely to address the energy crisis that people are currently facing.

4. Direct Honesty: Government administration must be transparent and verifiable at every step.

"Today, people are suffering from the energy crisis. You must identify which groups are most affected and prioritize their care, especially farmers who face rising costs but falling crop prices," Mr. Akkaradej said.

He concluded by encouraging the Cabinet to drive the policies announced to Parliament so they yield tangible benefits to the people, and expressed his belief that the government under the Prime Minister’s leadership would be free from corruption.
