Deputy Education Minister Akkharanat proposes appointing "Teacher Juang" as an advisor, confident in his abilities regardless of political party affiliation. He calls for skilled professionals working in their fields to join, and reveals plans to have dinner with Phet Karunpon, noting that despite differing ideologies, they can remain friends.
On 11 April 2026 GMT+7, Mr. Akkharanat Kankittinan, Deputy Minister of Education, explained the reason for inviting Mr. Paramee Waichongcharoen, also known as Teacher Juang, a former People's Party parliamentary candidate, to join the work. He said they have known each other personally for over 10 years. When he invited him, he knew Teacher Juang was no longer an MP in this term and was returning to teaching, while he himself would work in the Ministry of Education, aiming to develop education and seeking someone like Teacher Juang to assist. He emphasized that the invitation was for work purposes, while politics would be separate. Teacher Juang never mentioned switching to the Pheu Thai Party. From now on, he plans to invite knowledgeable, talented people who are not politicians to join. If party affiliation remains a barrier, the country will not progress. Focusing on political affiliation will prevent skilled individuals without shared political ideology from joining.
Mr. Akkharanat stated that he intends to appoint Teacher Juang as an advisor to the Deputy Minister of Education because throughout his career, Teacher Juang has consistently focused on education issues most relevant to the ministry. When problems arise, Teacher Juang has been able to address them even when dealing with the opposition at that time. He is confident that such personnel, aligned with the field, will avoid political complications.
Mr. Akkharanat also revealed that he has many friends in the People's Party, and today he plans to have a meal with Mr. Phet Karunpon Thiansuwan, a former People's Party parliamentary candidate. "If today we view differing ideas as a reason not to associate, then it would be impossible to befriend anyone," he said.
