Pakamon Noon-anant rebuked the Prime Minister for using the fake news about flooding in Hatyai to accuse her of kneeling for photos, even though the truth has been established. She called it truly petty, saying he should have focused on the work she has done instead.
On 11 April 2026, Pakamon Noon-anant, a party-list MP from the People’s Party, posted on Facebook to rebut Prime Minister and Defence Minister Anutin Charnvirakul. In his closing speech on government policy addressing southern flooding, he claimed he personally visited and waded through the waters, accusing her of only knee-deep flooding and posing to create an image by kneeling for photos. Pakamon responded that while any topic can be addressed, the Prime Minister used the fake news about Hatyai flooding accusing her of wearing a life jacket and kneeling for photos to attack her. She said this drama and fake news had already been disproven.
Instead of highlighting the successes achieved during the Hatyai flooding and the plans she has worked on to counter her, he chose to respond with fake news.
Truly petty!!!
