General Prawit pointed gourmets to a "delicious restaurants" guide while supporting Thai orchid entrepreneurs for Songkran after decorating the Forest Corridor Foundation. He wished the public happiness and good health amid the hot weather.
On 11 April 2026, General Prawit Wongsuwan, advisor to the Palang Pracharath Party, after opening his home for a water-pouring ceremony during the Songkran festival, enjoyed a warm atmosphere with batchmates from class 6, senior military officers, former subordinates, and politicians who came enthusiastically to pay respects.
General Prawit revealed that a highlight unknown to many was the "Thai orchids" used to decorate the event, which received much praise for their beauty. Cooperation came from Mr. Krisana Meekham, president of the Thai Orchid Exporters Association, and Mr. Hiran Areejit, president of the Thai Orchid Garden Operators Association, who helped design and arrange the flowers. They focused on brightly colored Thai orchid varieties that are durable and suitable for display in hot weather.
As for the event souvenirs, he chose "Thai fabric" in the form of pha khao ma-patterned shawls, which are versatile. General Prawit said he wanted to support local weavers and producers by giving these to guests and media, encouraging them to buy more if they liked them, noting the price is affordable.
Another highlight he wanted to share was a variety of personally selected delicious restaurants worth trying, including shredded chicken noodles at Katuay, Chula stewed pork rice, Betong chicken rice, Siea beef noodles unmatched in taste, Sawasdee fried mussels, and Mongkolchai fried pork and beef behind the Ministry of Finance, as well as Chitlada desserts like longan tong sui and Dragonfly coffee with deep-fried dough sticks.
General Prawit wished to thank the media and public for their attention, emphasizing that he reads all comments. In a cheerful tone, he said although many invite him to try various restaurants, he must take care of his health. He then wished the public happiness with their families during Songkran and urged them to take care of their health amid the hot weather.
