
The Cabinet approved a central budget exceeding 7.7 billion baht to address three areas: vulnerable groups, transport operators and hired drivers using fuel, and cost of living relief measures such as the Green Flag Economical Plus and Thai Help Thai projects, which are designed to be affordable.
On 11 Apr 2026 GMT+7, Ms. Rachada Thanadirek, spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office, revealed that today's Cabinet meeting approved a central budget of over 7,742 million baht, divided into three main areas as follows.
1) Supporting vulnerable groups with a central budget of 6,022.85 million baht, allocated for welfare expenses under the 2022 State Welfare Registration Project amounting to 4,700 million baht, continuing into the 2026 fiscal year. Additionally, 1,322.85 million baht is designated for measures to alleviate impacts on vulnerable groups according to the Cabinet resolution of 26 Mar 2026.
2) Assistance measures for transport operators, hired drivers using fuel, and non-regular goods transport operators, with a central budget of 1,458 million baht. Another 601 million baht will come from the Road Safety Fund (RSF) to supplement these measures.. (Fragment only, no additional content.). 1. Transport operators and hired drivers using fuel, totaling 180,332 vehicles.
2. Non-regular goods transport operators, totaling 287,175 vehicles.
Payments will be made via PromptPay to operators listed in the Ministry of Transport's system, with a subsequent opportunity for others to submit their information.
3) Cost of living relief measures for the public, using a central budget of 260.60 million baht through three key projects:
1. The “Green Flag Economical Plus” project,(fragment only, no additional content) which distributes agricultural products and production inputs at affordable prices nationwide, reducing costs for farmers by 150 million baht and thereby increasing household income.
2. The “Cost of Living Relief” project via Blue Flag initiatives, mobile vehicles, and mobile markets nationwide, expected to reduce citizens' expenses by no less than 228 million baht.
3. The “Thai Help Thai to Increase SME Income” project, which promotes sales activities through online platforms, expected to generate at least 150 million baht in revenue for operators.
All three projects enable the public to access essential consumer goods at reasonable prices, while also expanding sales channels for producers, farmers, community enterprises, and SMEs, resulting in increased income during the economic slowdown.
