The Prime Minister signed an order assigning the Deputy Prime Ministers and Ministers attached to the Prime Minister's Office to oversee regional administration: "Phiphat" to supervise the entire southern region, "Songsak" to manage the northeastern region, and "Yotschanan" to be responsible for the upper northern region.
On 12 Apr 2026 GMT+7, Ms. Rachada Thanadirek, spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office, revealed that the Cabinet meeting on 11 Apr acknowledged the order assigning Deputy Prime Ministers and Ministers attached to the Prime Minister's Office to oversee regional administration. This follows Prime Minister and Interior Minister Anutin Charnvirakul's signed Order No. 86/2569, designating Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn to oversee Inspection Region 5, covering the Gulf-side southern provinces: Chumphon, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Surat Thani, and Songkhla; Region 6, the Andaman-side southern provinces: Krabi, Trang, Phang Nga, Phuket, Ranong, and Satun; and Region 7, the southern border provinces: Narathiwat, Pattani, and Yala.
Ms. Rachada stated that Deputy Prime Minister Songsak Thongsri supervises Inspection Region 10, the upper northeastern region 1, comprising Bueng Kan, Loei, Nong Khai, Nong Bua Lamphu, and Udon Thani; Region 11, upper northeastern region 2, including Nakhon Phanom, Mukdahan, and Sakon Nakhon; and Region 12, the central northeastern region, covering Kalasin, Khon Kaen, Maha Sarakham, and Roi Et. Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Akniti Nitithanprapas oversees Inspection Region 8, eastern region 1, which includes Chachoengsao, Chonburi, and Rayong.
Ms. Rachada said Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation Yotschanan Wongsawat supervises Inspection Region 15, upper northern region 1, covering Chiang Mai, Mae Hong Son, Lampang, and Lamphun; and Region 16, upper northern region 2, including Chiang Rai, Nan, Phayao, and Phrae. Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office Supamas Isarapakdi oversees Inspection Region 2, central metropolitan region, which includes Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani, Nakhon Pathom, and Samut Prakan; and Region 9, eastern region 2, covering Chanthaburi, Trat, Nakhon Nayok, Prachinburi, and Sa Kaeo. Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office Naphin Srisampang supervises Inspection Region 3, lower central region 1, encompassing Kanchanaburi, Ratchaburi, and Suphanburi.
Inspection Region 4, lower central region 2, includes Prachuap Khiri Khan, Phetchaburi, Samut Songkhram, and Samut Sakhon; Inspection Region 17, lower northern region 1, covers Tak, Phitsanulok, Phetchabun, Sukhothai, and Uttaradit.
Ms. Rachada added that Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office Pradon Prisanantakul oversees Inspection Region 1, upper central region, which includes Chai Nat, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Lopburi, Saraburi, Sing Buri, and Ang Thong; and Region 18, lower northern region 2, covering Kamphaeng Phet, Nakhon Sawan, Phichit, and Uthai Thani. Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office Suksamruay Wantaniyagul supervises Inspection Region 13, lower northeastern region 1, comprising Chaiyaphum, Nakhon Ratchasima, Buriram, and Surin; and Region 14, lower northeastern region 2, including Yasothon, Sisaket, Amnat Charoen, and Ubon Ratchathani. The delegation of Deputy Prime Ministers and Ministers attached to the Prime Minister's Office to oversee regional work aims to drive local strategic initiatives effectively, ensuring continuous follow-up, supporting local officials, and evaluating projects and budgets.
