Sirikan has signed to establish a social welfare committee, appointing Natcha as chair to urgently drive assistance for vulnerable groups in crisis, enabling rapid access to basic rights.

On 12 Apr 2026 GMT+7, reporters from the Prachachon Party (PChon) reported that Ms.SirikanTansakulDeputy Head of Policy for thePrachachon Party(PChon)has signed an order appointing a thematic committee on social welfare for public security to promptly monitor and systematically drive welfare work amid a crisis affecting the general population. She assigned Mr. Natcha Boonchaiinsawat,MPparty-list member of thePrachachon Partyas chairman, responsible for comprehensive oversight. The formation of this committeeaims primarily to expedite measures to assist and care for the public, especially vulnerable groups such as children, the elderly, disabled persons, and low-income individuals, so they can access basic rights quickly, widely, and fairly, to prevent losses and reduce impacts from the current crisis.

The committee's structure includes representatives from various sectors, covering policy, strategy, and implementation. It is divided into six main divisions: Welfare Policy and Strategy; Child, Youth, and Family Welfare; Elderly Welfare; Rights and Equality; Housing Development and Human Security; and International Law Standards and Best Practices, enabling comprehensive social welfare management.

The thematic social welfare committee for public security functions as a mechanism within the Prachachon Party to closely monitor, oversee, and assess social welfare conditions, especially during crises impacting the population.

The committee monitors and evaluates government operations, particularly the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security, to ensure that measures are effective, transparent, and responsive to the people’s needs.

Additionally, it collects facts and complaints from the public to develop policy proposals and push for concrete solutions, especially for vulnerable groups.

Operationally, the committee serves as a central coordinator between party policies and local situations, continuously communicating with the public to raise awareness and encourage citizen participation in developing the country’s welfare system.
