Pheu Thai Assembles Political Officials, Proposes Seksit as Deputy Secretary to the Prime Minister

The Pheu Thai Party has finalized its lineup of political officials who will join the Cabinet after the Songkran Festival. Seksit will assume the role of Deputy Secretary to the Prime Minister, while Theerarat will serve as Assistant Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office.


On 12 Apr 2026 GMT+7, a reporter from the Pheu Thai Party reported that the party has completed selecting political officials to assist its ministers. Each appointee has been asked to submit their personal information for government verification, similar to the process for ministers. The list is expected to be presented at a Cabinet meeting in the week following the Songkran holiday or the week after. Among those appointed to assist Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, Mr. Seksit Srichomkwan, party spokesperson, will serve as Deputy Secretary to the Prime Minister for political affairs, assisting Deputy Prime Minister Yotsanan Wongsawat.

Ms. Theerarat Samretwanit, former Deputy Minister of Interior, will serve as Assistant Minister to the Deputy Prime Minister.

Mr. Chatrin Janhom, former Deputy Secretary to the Prime Minister, will be Secretary to the Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation.

Mr. Danuporn Punnakan will serve as Assistant Minister to the Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation.

Dr. Sriyada Palimapant will act as Advisor to the Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation.

“Ton Sarawut” will assist “Suriya”.

At the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, Mr. Sarawut Nueangjamnong will be Secretary to the Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives.

Mr. Songsam Udomchai, former candidate for Member of Parliament in Nakhon Sawan, will serve as Advisor to the Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives.

Mr. Nanat Hongchuwech will be Assistant Secretary to the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives, supporting Deputy Minister Watcharapol Khaokham.

Mr. Teerachai Saenkaew will serve as Advisor to the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives.

Mr. Jadet Chantra, former candidate for Member of Parliament in Phitsanulok, will be Assistant Secretary to the Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives, assisting Deputy Minister Piyarat Tiyapairat.

Linthiporn will serve as Assistant to the Minister of Education.

At the Ministry of Education, Mr. Wallop Rujirakorn will be Secretary to the Minister of Education.

Ms. Linthiporn Warinwacharot, former Deputy Minister of Education, will serve as Assistant Minister to the Minister of Education.

Mr. Phakwat Srisuraphon, former Member of Parliament for Khon Kaen, will be Assistant Secretary to the Minister of Education, assisting Deputy Minister Akkaranan Kankinan.

Surachart appointed Secretary to the Minister of Labor.

At the Ministry of Labor, Mr. Surachart Thianthong will be Secretary to the Minister of Labor.

Mr. Apicha Lertphachornkamol will be Secretary to the Minister of Social Development and Human Security.

Mr. Chanin Rungthanakiat will serve as Advisor to the Minister of Social Development and Human Security.

Ms. Chanok Chanthathong will be Assistant Minister to the Minister of Social Development and Human Security.
