On 13 Apr 2026 at 09:00, Mr. Worasit Liangprasit, Deputy Minister of the Interior, visited public service points during the 2026 Songkran Festival in Samut Sakhon Province, located along Ekachai-Samut Sakhon Road in front of the Big C Department Store in Mahachai.
The Deputy Minister praised and encouraged the public service team, conveying the concerns of Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul to the dedicated staff. He emphasized that Songkran is a joyful time and continuous holiday for Thai people, when most can rest and be with family. However, "we cannot stop working," so he expressed thanks for everyone’s selfless sacrifice to ensure the public's happiness during Songkran and their ability to enjoy time with family.
The Deputy Minister also visited the rescue operations team of Khok Kham Municipality and monitored real-time traffic conditions on Rama 2 Road in Samut Sakhon.
Samut Sakhon's Songkran public service points in 2026 total seven, covering three districts: 1. Mueang Samut Sakhon District at Rama 2 Road (outbound side toward Bangkok) at km 42 in front of the PTT gas station in Khetum, Bang Thorat Subdistrict, and along Ekachai-Samut Sakhon Road in front of Big C Mahachai, Khok Kham Subdistrict. 2. Krathum Baen District along Phutthasakhon Road outbound side near the PTT gas station in Suan Luang Subdistrict, and Phetkasem Road in front of the PTT gas station at Phetkasem 95, Om Noi Subdistrict. 3. Ban Phaeo District along Ban Phaeo-Phraprotone Road at km 17 in front of the PTT gas station (beside Ban Phaeo Subdistrict Administrative Organization), Ban Phaeo Subdistrict, and along Ban Phaeo-Krathum Baen Road at Suan Som intersection (in front of the Suan Som Subdistrict checkpoint, Village No. 5), Suan Som Subdistrict. There is also a Fix It Center for vehicle inspections at Ban Phaeo Vocational College.
