Thai Ruam Palang Party Elects Jitrawan Wangsupakitkosol as New Leader, Kung Fu Appointed Party Secretary

The Thai Ruam Palang Party held its annual general meeting, electing "Madam Kob" Jitrawan Wangsupakitkosol, MP for Ubon Ratchathani’s 9th district, as the new party leader, while "Kung Fu" was appointed party secretary.


On 13 April 2026, reporters noted that the Thai Ruam Palang Party’s Facebook page posted congratulations to the new executive committee. On 7 April, at the Suny Grand Hotel and Convention Center in Mueang district, Ubon Ratchathani province, the party held its 2026 annual general meeting. Wasawat Puangpornsri, known as "Kung Fu" and the party leader, welcomed the executive committee, party advisory chairman Somsak Wangsupakitkosol, party advisor Jitrawan Wangsupakitkosol, MP for Ubon Ratchathani’s 9th district, Pimpakarn Phonsamark, MP for district 3, Somsak Boonprachom, MP for district 10, Narongchai Weerakul, MP for district 2, along with representatives from 10 branch committees, two provincial party representatives, and party members.

Wasawat, the party leader, opened the meeting, informing attendees of the agenda and encouraging participation in selecting qualified individuals for the new executive committee. He then submitted his resignation as party leader to the party registrar during the meeting. According to the party’s bylaws, Article 17 (2), the resignation of the party leader results in the dissolution of the entire executive committee.

The general meeting then proceeded to elect a new executive committee. The election results were approved, appointing the following members to the committee:

1. Mrs. Jitrawan Wangsupakitkosol as party leader.
2. Mrs. Pimpakarn Phonsamark as first deputy party leader.
3. Mr. Somsak Boonprachom as second deputy party leader.
4. Mr. Sitthichai Korkaew as third deputy party leader.
5. Mr. Wasawat Puangpornsri as party secretary.
6. Mr. Kittikorn Cherdchoo as deputy party secretary.
7. Mrs. Malee Boonruang as party treasurer.
8. Ms. Warangkan Samransuk as party registrar.
9. Mr. Narongchai Weerakul as party spokesperson.
10. Mr. Banhan Sribura as party executive committee member.
11. Mr. Weeranan Thatsasri as party executive committee member.
12. Mr. Hemchat Chuechote as party executive committee member.
