On 14 Apr 2026 at 10:00, Mr. Phonphi Suwanchavee, Deputy Minister of the Interior, visited to monitor the prices of goods and services and the implementation of assistance measures under the "Thai Help Thai" project, following government policy. The visit took place at Big C Supercenter, Nakhon Ratchasima 2 branch (Suebsiri Road), Nai Mueang Subdistrict, Mueang Nakhon Ratchasima District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province. He stated that today he came to monitor prices and the progress of the "Thai Help Thai" assistance measures as per government policy, with many sectors offering special promotions, including general consumer goods essential to daily life, such as eggs. He noted that egg prices remain relatively high and that consultations will be held with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce to seek private sector support to reduce prices and alleviate hardships for citizens. He expressed gratitude to the private sector and local stores in Nakhon Ratchasima and across the country for cooperating with the government to ease public distress during these abnormal times, especially amid the Middle East situation.
Regarding measures to reduce consumer goods prices, the "Thai Help Thai" project is a key government policy under the leadership of Prime Minister and Interior Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, aimed at reducing burdens and living costs to mitigate energy price impacts. The government requests private sector cooperation to lower prices of essential items to ensure fairness for consumers and maximize benefits from government assistance. In Nakhon Ratchasima, participating businesses include retail chains Vichko at Huathale, Big C, Lotus, and Terminal 21 Korat shopping center.
Mobile Market Operation: “Je Ruay” Deploys “Thai Help Thai Brings Happiness” Vehicle to Reduce Living Costs
In Amnat Charoen Province, reporters reported that Ms. Suksomruay Wantaneeyakul, Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office and Member of Parliament for Amnat Charoen Constituency 1 from the Bhumjaithai Party, organized the project “Thai Help Thai Mobile Markets… Delivering Happiness to Tai Amnat People.” Several mobile market caravans were launched, each carrying consumer goods participating in the project and necessary items at affordable prices, such as instant noodles, cooking oil, seasonings, and household products. These goods were delivered directly to communities, especially remote areas of Amnat Charoen, to provide quality products at fair prices. Importantly, this initiative helps reduce living costs for citizens during a period when people worldwide are affected by conflicts in Middle Eastern countries.
Furthermore, Ms. Suksomruay stated that the hardships faced by the people are critical issues requiring urgent care to ensure every family can shop economically and improve their quality of life together. This is also a way to deliver happiness to the Tai Amnat people during Songkran. She added that Thailand has overcome every crisis because Thai people help each other.
