At 09:30 on 16 Apr 2026, Mr. Panthongtae Shinawatra, along with his wife Ms. Natthiya Puangkam, representing the Shinawatra family, traveled to visit Mr. Thaksin Shinawatra at Klong Prem Central Prison. Mr. Winyat Chatmontri, Thaksin’s personal lawyer, also accompanied them for the meeting.
After spending about 45 minutes visiting, Mr. Panthongtae said they exchanged New Year greetings and mainly talked with his father about the grandchildren. He confirmed that his father is in good health and eagerly awaiting the day of his release. When asked if his father missed any grandchild the most, he replied that he missed all equally. He added that his father is taking care of his health and waiting to return home. He thanked everyone for their support before immediately leaving by car.
