Warawut Resigns as Party-List MP Piboon Ratchakitprakarn, Brother of Phiphat, Steps Up as MP

Warawut Sinlapacha has resigned from his party-list MP position, allowing Piboon Ratchakitprakarn, ranked 22nd on the party list and brother of Phiphat, to become an MP in his place. Warawut expressed hope to fully dedicate himself to his role as Minister of Industry.

At 14:10 on 16 Apr 2026 GMT+7, Warawut Sinlapacha, Minister of Industry, revealed at the Government House that earlier this morning, he submitted his resignation from his position as a party-list Member of Parliament for the Bhumjaithai Party. He explained that, given the government has completed its policy statement to parliament, he can now fully focus on his duties as Minister of Industry.

According to reporters, after Warawut resigned from his party-list MP seat, the next candidate on the Bhumjaithai Party’s list, ranked 22nd, was elevated to MP status. That person is Piboon Ratchakitprakarn, younger brother of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, who is also the father of MP Peeraphat Ratchakitprakarn from Satun representing the Bhumjaithai Party.
