His Majesty the King graciously bestowed the Battle Medal for the Korean War upon eight soldiers who served alongside United Nations Command personnel with dedication, endurance, and successfully built relationships with allied agencies.


On 16 April 2026 GMT+7, the website Royal Gazette published a royal decree announcement titled Awarding the Battle Medal for the Korean War. The content stated that His Majesty the King graciously granted the Battle Medal for the Korean War to eight military officers who served under the Ministry of Defense's orders at the Liaison Officer Office of the United Nations Command Headquarters in Seoul, Republic of Korea. They served alongside United Nations Command personnel with dedication, endurance, and effectively fostered relations with allied agencies, as follows:
