Prime Minister Anutin arrived in Narathiwat, greeting and embracing the Fourth Army Commander who was there to welcome him warmly after recent tensions. He then proceeded to deliver policy directives at the Southern Border Provinces Administrative Centre (SBPAC).
At 09:28 on 17 April 2026, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul and his delegation arrived at Narathiwat Airport, where Narathiwat Governor Boonchuay Homyamyen, Fourth Army Commander Lieutenant General Narathip Poinok, Deputy National Police Chief Police General Samran Nuanma, and Secretary-General of the Southern Border Provinces Administrative Centre (SBPAC) Piyasiri Watwanarangkura welcomed them. The Prime Minister greeted and warmly embraced Lieutenant General Narathip.
Governor Boonchuay and Lieutenant General Narathip briefed the Prime Minister on the local situation before he, as Commander of the Territorial Defense Volunteers, inspected the volunteer defense forces assigned to secure his inspection visit.
Afterwards, the Prime Minister and his delegation flew by helicopter to the SBPAC to deliver government policy directives on solving issues in the southern border provinces and to inspect ongoing operations.
