Anutin Visits Sirindhorn Camp to Intensify Security Measures in Southern Border Provinces

The Prime Minister visited the South, declaring that justice is the source of peace. He ordered the reopening of important cases to reveal the truth, end suspicion, and restore public trust.

On 17 April 2026 at the Internal Security Operations Command Region 4 Forward (ISOC 4 Fwd), Sirindhorn Camp, Pattani, Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, in his role as Director of Internal Security Operations (DISO), chaired a meeting to monitor security in the southern border provinces. The meeting included cabinet members, military commanders, and governors from five southern border provinces to assess the situation and enhance the security plan in the area.

Anutin stated after the meeting that the southern border area is highly sensitive, making security operations crucial for development. He emphasized that all agencies should communicate openly and transparently to quickly reveal the truth, which is a key weapon to stop suspicion and misinformation in the region. He also instructed officials to follow the principle of "conceal names, judge actions" when dealing with irregularities to ensure true justice.

The Prime Minister added that justice is the starting point of unity, and fairness is the foundation of peace. Therefore, it is the duty of state officials to restore public trust in the justice process. He urged officials to communicate with understanding, patience, and empathy toward the people, aiming to improve the quality of life in the area.

During the meeting, progress on key cases and strategic security issues was reviewed by the governors of Yala, Pattani, Narathiwat, Songkhla, and Satun to update the peace-building plan according to current conditions. Anutin affirmed that the government is fully committed to supporting all officials’ work to bring sustainable peace back to the South as soon as possible.
