
The Prime Minister joined the Water Festival Day in Chumphon, praising the charm of the beautiful sandy beach that amazed attendees. He declared that after finishing his duties in Narathiwat, he must stop by to join the lively water splashing event.
On 17 April 2026 at Bang Berd Beach, Pak Khlong Subdistrict, Pathiu District, Chumphon Province, Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, traveled to preside over the opening of the tourism promotion project "Bang Berd Water Festival." The atmosphere was lively and joyful. The Prime Minister wore a floral shirt, cheerfully waved to the people by the sea, amid cheers and water sprays from locals shouting, "You're too rich!"
Anutin opened the event by saying he intentionally brought nearly half of the Cabinet to meet the people of Chumphon and Prachuap Khiri Khan. He revealed that after completing duties solving problems in Narathiwat, local MPs and the provincial governor urged him to definitely stop by, as Chumphon people had elected three MPs. Upon arrival, he was amazed by the charm of Bang Berd Beach, even commenting that if he had known it was so close to the sea, he would have worn shorts. He then announced he would drop his prepared script to speak sincerely from the heart to the people.
During the introduction of Cabinet members and MPs from the Bhumjaithai Party, the Prime Minister joked, drawing laughter by saying, "I apologize for not remembering all the MPs' real names yet, because I've never had this many MPs before." He emphasized that this visit was to have fun and thank everyone who had supported them. The beautiful beach reflected Chumphon's charm perfectly. Despite it being the hottest time of the year, he felt very warmly welcomed.
After the opening ceremony, the Prime Minister and his team enthusiastically joined the water splashing activity with the public in front of the stage, showing no airs, amid smiles and photo requests from tourists and locals alike. They then departed back to Bangkok, leaving a strong impression and a promise to continue promoting tourism growth in Chumphon Province.
