At 12:21 PM on 18 April 2026, reporters reported that after Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul completed his official inspection missions in the southern border provinces and Chumphon Province on 17 April, he posted today, during the weekend following the Songkran festival, on his personal Facebook page a photo of himself walking down the stairs of the Thai Koo Fah Building at the Government House. Above him in the image is the royal portrait of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother. The post included the message "Have a great weekend, everyone." This translates as a wish for everyone to have a good weekend.
