Due to the prolonged conflict in the Middle East, the Ministry of Transport assigned the Department of Land Transport to set criteria for transport operators using fuel (diesel or gasoline) eligible for urgent financial aid in response to the Middle East oil crisis.
They also opened registration for compensation under this measure through the "DLT Support System" both online and walk-in at the Department of Land Transport and transport offices nationwide, drawing significant interest. The registration period has been extended for eligible operators who have not yet registered, until 24 April 2026 GMT+7 (including public holidays). This extension aims to facilitate eligible recipients and fulfill the measure’s goal to assist transport operators and reduce the cost of living for the public. Registration requirements include
- For legal entities: bank account linked to PromptPay using the taxpayer identification number, along with supporting documents such as a transport operation license copy, company registration certificate, and documents proving passenger transport contracts (documents vary by vehicle type requesting aid).
Eligibility for aid will follow the Department of Land Transport’s announced criteria. Payments will be calculated proportionally based on actual transport service duration after successful registration, within the 42-day measure period (20 April to 31 May 2026 GMT+7).
