
The Deputy Government Spokesperson reiterated that starting from 1 May, private school teachers can claim medical expenses in real-time without needing to pay upfront, using the National Health Security Office (NHSO) system to enhance access to healthcare services.
On 19 April 2026, Ms. Lalida Pertwiwatana, Deputy Spokesperson of the Prime Minister's Office, announced that the government is advancing health welfare for private school teachers. The Private School Teacher Assistance Fund (PSTAF) has adopted the real-time medical expense reimbursement system (Clearing House) from the National Health Security Office (NHSO) to facilitate faster service access for fund members and reduce their upfront costs.
. Starting from 1 May 2026 onwards, fund members will be able to receive treatment at participating healthcare facilities without making advance payments. The system will link data among hospitals, the fund, and the NHSO, streamlining claim submissions and speeding up service access.
The Deputy Government Spokesperson added that as of 18 April 2026, 109 healthcare facilities have joined the program, covering 47 provinces nationwide, with continuous network expansion. These benefits cover school directors, teachers, and educational personnel under the Private School Act B.E. 2550 (2007) who are members of the fund. The combined outpatient and inpatient medical expense coverage is up to 150,000 baht per person per year. Members are advised to check their remaining coverage and network facilities before seeking treatment.
