Tawee Supports Kamolsak, Reveals Training Data Before Attack, Confident in Clear Hiring Mastermind Calls for Forensic Investigation Instead of Sole Reliance on Witnesses

Tawee offers support to Kamolsak, revealing information about gun training before the attack. He is confident there is a clear mastermind behind the contract killing and urges that forensic science be used in investigations instead of relying solely on eyewitness testimony.,

On 19 April 2026, Police Colonel Tawee Sodsong, leader of the Prachachart Party, visited Kamolsak Liwamo, Member of Parliament for Narathiwat from the same party, at his residence in Bacho District, Narathiwat. This visit took place amid local concerns about safety and transparency in the justice process regarding the mysterious assassination attempt.

Police Colonel Tawee Sodsong revealed that several aspects of the case remain under close observation by residents, especially concerning the vehicles used in the attack. Clear evidence shows two vehicles involved, including a Toyota Fortuner that followed the MP from Hat Yai Airport. The party questions whether authorities have thoroughly tracked this vehicle. Additionally, information has emerged about gun training prior to the attack, which is believed to be a technical error by the assailants that allowed Kamolsak to survive.

"We see clearly that the contract killing was orchestrated by a powerful figure, with crucial links in Narathiwat Province. We urge the investigative team to act with care and independence. Regarding the establishment of an independent committee, we are ready to support it," he said. Police Colonel Tawee stated.

Meanwhile, Abdulraman Malo emphasized that this case is not just a personal loss but affects security and the safety of the public. Investigations must move beyond relying solely on eyewitnesses to using "forensic science and technology," which provide irrefutable evidence. He also warned those involved not to use social currents or information to "devalue" in order to undermine the victim's credibility, because what everyone wants is the truth leading to justice.

At the same time, Ramadan Panjor, party-list MP of the Prachachart Party who joined the recent Hayyat prayer, pointed out the significance of that prayer as a sincere message from the public to those in power. "I hope the government and agencies interpret the feelings expressed in that prayer because it reflects concerns about safety, pride in religious education institutions, and feelings of being threatened. This is not just a religious issue but a significant social and political matter," Ramadan concluded.

Although some perpetrators have been arrested, the case remains "unresolved" because links to the masterminds are still questionable. Amid ongoing defamation on social media, both political parties urge the government to instruct officials to work straightforwardly to restore public confidence in the justice process for the local people.
