
The Minister of Natural Resources and Environment visited and encouraged the staff at Phuping Forest Fire Control Station in Chiang Mai, praising their full dedication and sacrifice in performing their duties. He also provided policy directions to develop the area into a nature-based tourism destination.
On 19 April 2026 GMT+7 at Phuping Forest Fire Control Station, Suthep Subdistrict, Mueang District, Chiang Mai Province, Mr. Suchart Chomklin, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, along with ministry executives and officials, visited the site to inspect and encourage the staff working to monitor and control forest fires. Mr. Singhanat Chaiwang, head of the Phuping Forest Fire Control Station, welcomed them and reported on the forest fire situation as well as the agency's recent prevention and firefighting efforts.
Mr. Suchart praised and encouraged all staff for their sacrifice and full commitment to protecting natural resources and maintaining Chiang Mai's forest areas. Afterwards, he and the delegation paid respects to sacred sites and historic places within the station grounds to bring auspiciousness to the staff's work.
He also issued policy instructions to improve and develop the surrounding area into a natural and cultural tourism site, linking nature study trails to promote learning and raise awareness about conserving natural resources and the environment among the public and tourists.
