Supachai revealed plans to distribute affordable goods across districts nationwide under the Thai Help Thai project, aiming to launch by 1 May. This effort will partner with village funds and online platforms to assist product distribution.
On 21 April 2026, Supachai Suthamphan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce, discussed progress on measures to provide low-cost goods to assist the public. She said the initiative has been presented to the Cabinet, with additional details to be submitted, including recent talks with the Ministry of Interior to expand product distribution nationwide. The plan covers more than 8,000 districts and involves cooperation with Thailand Post for logistics. Community and agricultural products will be sold at markets and via mobile vendors to reach remote areas.
Regarding the role of the National Village and Urban Community Fund Office (NVUCFO), Supachai said she consulted with Suksamruay Wantaneeyakul, Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office overseeing this area. They plan to utilize village funds and their retail outlets to receive and further distribute products through the village fund stores.
Supachai added that registration is open for community and SME products to join five online platforms for distribution: Thailandpostmart, Nexgen, TikTok, Shopee, and LINE. Currently, 2,000 products are being selected without charging GP fees. The Ministry of Commerce will assist with shipping costs to provide income for delivery riders and help promote SME products through influencers. Additionally, 500,000 discount coupons worth 100 baht each will be issued for SME products on these platforms. This approach aims to increase affordable product options, especially consumer goods, reaching all areas and small communities nationwide.
When asked if distribution to districts has started, Supachai said preparations are underway with ongoing discussions. If all goes smoothly, the rollout will begin on 1 May. Efforts are ongoing but she did not commit firmly yet, citing the need for nationwide readiness.
