At 08:10 on 22 April 2026 at the Ministry of Interior, Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, presided over a meeting to advance key missions of the Ministry. The meeting included Deputy Ministers, Ministry executives, department heads, heads of affiliated agencies, the Governor of Bangkok, and governors from across the country. Also attending were Mr. Sakda Wichiansilp, Advisor to the Minister of Interior, and Mr. Chaiwat Julthirapong, Secretary to the Minister of Interior, both newly appointed by the Cabinet meeting yesterday.
Before the meeting, Mr. Anutin expressed gratitude for the unified attendance to drive important missions, including monitoring disaster and security situations and advancing other aspects of national development. He emphasized that regardless of any problems or crises affecting the people, the Ministry of Interior is the primary agency responsible for action, both at regional and local levels. The ministry’s role is indispensable in implementing government policies to achieve concrete results.
Reporters noted that during the policy delivery, the Prime Minister spoke for less than two minutes before asking the media and unrelated persons to leave the meeting room. He requested silence and no interruptions during the meeting. He emphasized that all relevant agencies must act proactively to achieve concrete outcomes as quickly as possible.
