"Oak, Em, and Ink" brought seven nephews to visit "Grandfather Thaksin" in prison under the project "Spreading Love on Thai New Year," while counting down the final 18 days until his parole.
On 23 April 2026 GMT+7, at Klong Prem Central Prison, the three Shinawatra siblings—Oak, Panthongtae, Pintongtha—visited former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra during a special Songkran event. The visit drew attention as only a few days remain before his scheduled parole.
The Shinawatra family arrived together at the entrance of Klong Prem Central Prison on Ngamwongwan Road, a group of ten in total, to meet Thaksin. The group included Panthongtae Shinawatra (Oak) with his twins "Tony" and "Tina"; Miss Pintongtha Kunakornwong (Em) with three children (Pinthara, Pinnara, and Chinwakin); and Miss Paethongtha Shinawatra (Ink) with two children (Thithara and Thasin).
This visit was organized under the project “Close Relatives Visit: Spreading Love on Thai New Year,” replacing the 2026 Songkran festival to allow inmates to meet their families closely, boosting morale and support on the occasion of the Thai New Year.
Today's visit marked the 57th since Thaksin entered the justice process. The former prime minister has now been detained for 7 months and 14 days. Reports indicate he is currently counting down to parole with only 18 days remaining before consideration for release under legal conditions.
After nearly two hours, the entire Shinawatra family left Klong Prem Central Prison with neutral expressions and did not give any statements to the waiting media. They then boarded private vehicles and promptly departed the area.
