The Prime Minister revives the concept of mobile Cabinet meetings, intending to cover the entire country from north to south without forgetting Hat Yai. He proudly stated the meetings will not be ceremonial or involve isolated efforts.
At 15:55 on 23 Apr 2026 at the Government House, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul spoke about the mobile Cabinet meetings. He informed the Cabinet that the plan is to start from the northern region down to the south, as the rainy season approaches. However, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn reminded him not to overlook Hat Yai. Anutin responded, "First come, first served; whichever province is ready can go first." He emphasized that during his leadership, mobile Cabinet meetings will not merely change venues but involve serious fieldwork. These meetings take longer because they are not just formal or routine sessions; any issues that can be addressed will be done promptly. Mobile meetings under his administration will yield substantial results, with joint field visits and activities, not isolated efforts. This approach will not happen under any other government.
When asked if the northern location would be Chiang Mai, the Prime Minister said whichever area is ready will be prioritized. The National Economic and Social Development Council (NESDC), the Secretariat of the Cabinet, and the responsible Deputy Prime Minister will make the final decisions.
