Deputy Minister Jeset Visits Soi Likay Paknampho to Console 38 Families Affected by Fire

Deputy Minister of Interior visited Huamueang Pattana community to encourage residents after a major fire and instructed expedited compensation payments for 38 households affected.


On 23 April 2026, Mr. Jeset Thaiset, Deputy Minister of Interior, inspected damage from a fire at Huamueang Pattana community near Soi Sawanwithee 18 (Soi Likay), Paknampho Subdistrict, Mueang Nakhon Sawan District. He also visited and offered support to residents at the temporary shelter run by Paknampho Prachanukroh Foundation and the Bueng Boraphet tourist accommodation. The visit was accompanied by Ms. Chutiporn Setchang, Governor of Nakhon Sawan Province; Police General Somsak Chantaping, President of Nakhon Sawan Provincial Administrative Organization; and Mr. Jittakasem Nirojanthanarat, Mayor of Nakhon Sawan Municipality.

Mr. Jeset praised all officials for their continuous efforts since the fire occurred and urged the province and local administrative organizations to promptly conduct a detailed damage survey to provide compensation according to legal regulations as soon as possible to alleviate initial hardships.

“Although this incident is severe and unexpected, I encourage everyone to stay strong. I am confident we will smile again with resilience. The Ministry of Interior will closely monitor the assistance process to help residents return to normal life as quickly as possible,” said Mr. Jeset.

Ms. Chutiporn Setchang, Governor of Nakhon Sawan Province, reported that the fire damaged more than 27 houses and affected 38 households. Initially, two temporary shelters were set up, providing food, drinking water, and essential supplies. Currently, the Nakhon Sawan Provincial Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Office is coordinating with Nakhon Sawan Municipality to finalize the total damage assessment and promptly proceed with emergency relief measures for the disaster victims.
