The Royal Gazette website published an announcement from the Energy Policy Committee (EPC) to reduce the price of fast diesel oil at refineries by 5.00 baht per liter from 24 April to 9 May 2026, and by 3.00 baht per liter from 10 to 19 May 2026.
On 23 April 2026, the Royal Gazette website published the Energy Policy Committee's announcement regarding price adjustments at refineries for fast diesel oil. It stated that the ongoing conflict in the Middle East among the United States, Israel, and Iran has directly impacted the global fuel supply chain with no signs of resolution soon, causing significant volatility in crude oil and refined product prices. This affects domestic fuel prices and increases the cost of living./* This part contains only a fragment 'ชีพ' meaning 'living costs' or 'cost of living', so incorporated in previous part. No standalone translation. */The rising living expenses for the public and business operation costs have led to the Energy Policy Committee deciding to address and prevent fuel shortages.
