On 24 April 2026, Lieutenant General Adul Boonthamcharoen, Minister of Defense, chaired a key policy meeting with the military commanders. The Chief of Defence Forces and other branch commanders attended, except the Navy Commander who was on duty in the Philippines. Lieutenant General Adul emphasized the primary mission to protect sovereignty along border areas and strengthen maritime security.
