Anutin Exclaims Nonsense in Response to Questions About Orange Model in Glass Box in Office

Anutin exclaimed "Oh, nonsense" after being asked about a large orange fruit model displayed in a glass box in his office at the Thai Khu Fah Building, which has been linked to political interpretations. He then questioned what benefit the public gains from such questions.

At 11:55 a.m. on 25 April 2026 at the Bhumjaithai Party office, Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, as well as leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, addressed an online media image showing two large orange fruit models displayed in a clear glass box inside the Prime Minister's office. Some had interpreted this as 'imprisoning the oranges.' Anutin laughed, shook his head, and said: "It's really nonsense. Oh my goodness."

When pressed on whether the oranges were a type of auspicious fruit, Anutin said, "I won't say. It's irrelevant. This isn't something that needs to be publicized. If the oranges aren't in the box, then where else would they be? Don't ask such questions. What do the people gain? What does the country gain? Is it an obstacle to the government's work? If not, then it shouldn't be asked."
