Prime Minister Anutin revealed that the Thai Chuay Thai Plus program will be submitted to the Cabinet within May to meet the June start date, with payments extending over four months totaling 4,000 baht.
On 25 April 2026, Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, spoke about advancing the 'Half-Half Plus' program. He outlined a timeline aiming to begin implementation in June, so the project could be presented to the Cabinet by May. This policy originates from the Bhumjaithai Party’s campaign platform. Initially, it was intended as a short-term economic stimulus lasting four months, requiring swift action. However, as the program progressed, it brought many benefits and gained popularity among the public. Plans for phase two were interrupted by the parliamentary dissolution. Therefore, this is not a new initiative. Amid current Middle East tensions potentially affecting citizens, the government expanded the program, renaming it from 'Half-Half' to 'Thai Chuay Thai Plus.' Instead of a 50:50 cost-sharing, the focus shifted from economic stimulus to direct aid, injecting money into the economy. The duration extended from two to four months. Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Akniti Nitithanprapas has announced payments of 1,000 baht monthly, totaling 4,000 baht, which is more than before. Regarding registration opening dates, inquiries should be directed to Akniti.
The Prime Minister added that detailed questions should be directed to the responsible officials or departments, as if he answers all specifics, others might not perform their duties. He affirmed his full support for the projects and operations led by ministers from all coalition parties. Thus, if asked, he can confirm his approval in principle and ongoing support, but detailed answers are best left to those directly in charge.
