Prachachon Party Nominates Itthiwat Watanasathsorn to Run for Pattaya Mayor, Replacing Eng Nisamat Who Withdrew

The Prachachon Party has found a new candidate, nominating Itthiwat Watanasathsorn to run for Pattaya mayor in place of Eng Nisamat, who announced her withdrawal.

On 25 Apr 2026 GMT+7, Ms. Nisamat Laoharatanahirun, also known as Eng, the Prachachon Party’s prospective candidate for Pattaya mayor, posted on Facebook to officially announce her decision to withdraw from the mayoral race due to personal reasons, stating she felt unable to fully commit to the work. She expressed gratitude to the people of Pattaya, her team, and those who had engaged in dialogue, given advice, criticism, praise, and shared concerns with an open heart. Earlier, Ms. Nisamat had posted a photo wearing the Prachachon Party jacket, turned away, with the message, “When the sky clears, we shall meet again.”

Later at 10:00 a.m. the same day, the Prachachon Party Chonburi Facebook page posted a message titled “Heartfelt Thanks to Eng and the Next Steps for Prachachon in Pattaya.” It stated that Ms. Nisamat Laoharatanahirun had decided to withdraw from her candidacy for Pattaya mayor representing the party due to family health concerns. On behalf of the party and all team members, they respected her decision and expressed sincere thanks to Eng.

To ensure that the work and policies continue strongly and consistently, the Prachachon Party resolved to nominate Mr. Itthiwat Watanasathsorn as their candidate for Pattaya mayor. Mr. Itthiwat has been part of the Pattaya Prachachon team from the start, is well-prepared, knowledgeable about the local context, and ready to deliver policies for all Pattaya residents. Most importantly, he has a heart dedicated to working hard for the people of Pattaya to the best of his ability.
