Sitthipol Wiboonthanakul posted demanding the Minister of Commerce honor the policy promise to reduce selling fees on online platforms after six months in office, criticizing that not only have fees not been reduced, but the GP fees have also increased.
On 25 Apr 2026 GMT+7, Sitthipol Wiboonthanakul, a party-list MP from the People's Party (Popan), posted on X demanding the Minister of Commerce to "control GP fees on platforms" to help reduce costs for entrepreneurs and consumers. One policy Minister Supachai had spoken about, raising hope among both sellers and buyers from the start of her first term, was to assist SMEs by managing selling fees or GP on platforms to be reasonable and fair. Now, six months into government administration, instead of platforms reducing GP fees, they have increased them. I call on the government and demand the Minister of Commerce earnestly implement the promised policy. Therefore, I want to see Minister Supachai courageously enforce GP fee regulation on platforms promptly, creating fairness for entrepreneurs and the public throughout the system. This would allow entrepreneurs to grow, help mitigate war-related impacts, reduce costs for businesses, and lower living expenses for citizens currently facing severe hardship.
