"Akanat" rises as a new-generation minister in Anutin's cabinet. The public is satisfied and confident in his ability to solve energy problems, helping to reduce living costs and creating hope to gain government support.
On 26 Apr 2026 GMT+7, Dr. Chanwit Ariyaworanant, Acting Director of Super Poll Research Center, spoke about the survey results on "Public confidence in Mr. Akanat Phromphan, Minister of Energy." The study sampled 1,259 people from all professions nationwide during 22–25 April 2026 GMT+7. The Super Poll results reflect the key dynamic between "policy performance" and "public perception" regarding energy issues—a structural problem directly affecting the quality of life for many. Most people want structural solutions, especially continuous energy price reductions, with a high 89.6% proportion.
They also demand transparent disclosure of energy price structures at 84.3%. The public shows high to very high confidence in the Minister of Energy at 67.9%, with an additional 21.4% moderately confident—meaning over four in five people have at least moderate trust.
The survey also shows the public mostly views the minister positively, particularly regarding seriousness in work (77.1%) and determination to address national and public problems (74.2%). These moral leadership traits are crucial for building long-term trust.
Regarding "work perception," people recognize measures to reduce oil prices at a high level (73.8%) and the minister's direct field engagement (70.5%), reflecting practical leadership focused on action and confronting issues. Additionally, efforts to reduce electricity costs, reform energy structures, and maintain transparency and accountability are recognized at levels above 60%. This survey indicates that the majority of the public is beginning to have satisfactory confidence in the Minister of Energy's work and perceives his proactive and concrete efforts.
However, this confidence comes with high expectations, representing both an "opportunity" and a "challenge" for future energy policy. If this trust translates into tangible results perceived by people daily, it will elevate trust and policy stability sustainably over the long term.
