Prime Minister Anutin led a half-kilometer walk to meet locals and tourists at the "Songkran Phra Pradaeng 69" festival, offering encouragement that tomorrow everything will get better.
At 16:30 on 26 April 2026 GMT+7, after officially opening the 69th Phra Pradaeng Songkran festival at Pom Phaeng Electricity Municipal School, Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, who is also Minister of Interior, led a 500-meter walk to the Songkran stage along the Chao Phraya River in front of the Phra Pradaeng District Office, Samut Prakan Province. He met with locals and tourists and joyfully struck the ceremonial gong to open the event. Joining him were Deputy Prime Minister Thongsaak Thongsri, Minister of Tourism and Sports Surasak Pancharoenworakul, Minister of Culture Sabida Thaiset, Secretary to the Minister of Interior Chaiwat Juntirapong, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior Assit Sampantharat, Governor of Samut Prakan Supamit Chinsri, Member of Parliament for Samut Prakan Thapakorn Kuljaroen, Samut Prakan Provincial Administrative Organization Chief Sunthorn Pansaengthong, and Mayor of Phra Pradaeng Municipality Jiraporn Wachirakhunkan.
Prime Minister Anutin warmly greeted the people of Phra Pradaeng and said he had heard that many were enjoying themselves, which was not originally planned. He therefore wanted to come meet his fellow citizens. Seeing everyone happy made him joyful as well. He encouraged everyone to have fun fully until 8 p.m. "Give it your all, to the fullest." He urged everyone to enjoy themselves completely so they could recharge their energy by 8 p.m. and be ready to work the next day, confident that everything will improve, get better, and better still.
