Ice Cream Parit hands over the People’s Party spokesperson role to Lisa Phakmon, praising her ability to simplify complex issues and reach a wide audience. He believes those who follow the debates can clearly see this.
27 Apr 2026 GMT+7 Mr. Parit Watcharasindhu, a party-list member of parliament (MP) from the People’s Party, posted a message viaFacebookstating that over the past 2-3 years, having been assigned by the party to serve as spokesperson—from the Move Forward Party era to the People’s Party—he has fully committed to communication work based on three key principles.
1. Focus on communication to build public trust, which requires broadly listening to feedback, presenting accurate and precise information, consistently upholding principles, addressing issues beneficial to the public, and answering questions that still concern the people.
2. Shift the spokesperson team’s role from solely communicating on their own behalf to supporting and facilitating fellow MPs and others in the party, providing effective mechanisms to communicate with society on issues they work on or are primarily responsible for.
3. Work collaboratively as a team within the spokesperson group to complement each member’s unique strengths, adhering to unified content and principles in each issue but employing diverse communication methods to reach all segments of the public.
Mr. Parit further revealed that amid a highly dynamic political situation and key challenges around misinformation, everyone in the spokesperson team agrees there are still many communication tasks that must be accelerated, adapted, or elevated. Since the election concluded, he expressed his intention to Mr. Natthapong Ruangpanyawut, party-list MP and party leader, believing the party should appoint new personnel as spokesperson to replace him. He has jointly planned the transition with all involved parties over the past two months.
“The party’s general meeting is a good opportunity to begin a new chapter for the People’s Party’s communication work. I am very pleased to hand over the spokesperson role and management of the spokesperson team to Ms. Lisa Phakmon Noon-anun.”
Since joining the Move Forward Party in 2022, I have worked closely with Ms. Phakmon and continuously learned many things from her. Her ability to communicate complex issues in a simple, accessible way to a wide audience is something I believe anyone following her debates and work has witnessed clearly.
From now on, as the party must engage in more intense, sharp intellectual work and work harder to inspire those still loyal, persuade the undecided, and win over skeptics, I believe Ms. Phakmon will be a key force for the People’s Party in improving this country.
“I want to thank all my colleagues in the spokesperson team, both front and back of house, thank the party for trusting me with this role, and thank the media for the opportunities to meet and collaborate in this capacity.”
