On 27 April 2026, reporters reported that on 28 April 2026 at 13:00 hrs, the Kla Tham Party (KTP) will hold its 2026 annual general meeting at the Golden Tulip Sovereign Hotel in Bangkok. A key agenda is a major restructuring of the party's executive committee (PEC), especially the party leader position, which will change. Lt. Col. Thammanat Prompao, a party-list MP and party advisory chairman, will advance to party leader, replacing Narumon Pinyosinwat, the current party leader and party-list MP, who will become party treasurer replacing Boonying Nitikanjana, an MP from Ratchaburi.
The secretary-general position remains with Mr. Phai Lik, MP from Kamphaeng Phet. Meanwhile, Lt. Col. Yossingh Liamlert, MP from Chachoengsao, will become party registrar, replacing Mr. Atthakorn Sirilattayakorn, also an MP from Chachoengsao, who will become party spokesperson. Mr. Phakphum Bulpra-muk, MP from Tak, will be party director. Deputy party leaders include Pol. Maj. Gen. Surin Palare, MP from Songkhla; Boonying; Lt. Col. Anudit Nakornthap; and Mr. Akrasaenkeeree Lowira, MP from Chaiyaphum.
