The Glatham Party has launched a major reorganization with "Captain Thammanat" assuming the party leadership, while "Phai Lik" and Narumon lead the executive team. Discussions highlight the tripling of MPs, aiming to solve problems comprehensively across all regions.
On 28 Apr 2026 GMT+7 at the Golden Tulip Sofferin Hotel in Bangkok, the Glatham Party held its 2026 annual general meeting to completely restructure its executive leadership. This aligns with the party's expansion, as the number of members of parliament (MPs) has tripled. Mr. Attakorn Sirilattayakorn, MP for Chachoengsao and party registrar (also the new party spokesperson), stated that this change elevates the party’s capability to serve the public better. The party now has three times as many MPs as in the previous government (increasing from 24), necessitating an executive team covering at least four to five regions, with a central hub to drive policies as previously declared by Captain Thammanat Phrompha, the party’s advisory chairman.
The newly elected Glatham Party executive committee, totaling 20 members, includes key figures: party leader Captain Thammanat Phrompha, party secretary Mr. Phai Lik, treasurer Mrs. Narumon Pinyosinwattana, party registrar Mr. Boonsing Warinrak, and party spokesperson Mr. Attakorn Sirilattayakorn.
Other notable executive members include Mr. Itthi Sirilattayakorn, Major Thanakrit Jitareerat, Mr. Pakpoom Boonpramuk, and Mr. Nikorn Sajdeva, among others. The party emphasizes selecting committed and capable personnel regardless of whether they are current or former MPs.
Mr. Attakorn added that the party also appointed twelve deputy party leaders to oversee various tasks, including Police Major General Surin Palare, Mrs. Boonying Nitikanjana, Air Force Major Anudith Nakornthrop, and Mr. Akara Phrompha. The party leader’s advisory council features distinguished individuals such as Mr. Chalermchai Sri-on, Mrs. Paweena Hongsakul, and Police General Prajuab Wongsuk.
Regarding clarity on candidates for the Bangkok governor and city council (BMA) elections, Mr. Attakorn stated that the new executive committee will reassess the situation. If the party decides to field candidates, they will be the most suitable individuals. Should the party opt not to participate, reasons will be explained to the public. Further discussions with party members in Bangkok are pending before a final decision is made.
