Bhumjaithai Finalizes Names for Chairpersons of 14 Committees, Appoints Asapol as Head of Anti-Corruption Committee

Anutin summoned Bhumjaithai MPs to discuss legislative work and finalized the appointment of chairpersons for 14 committees, consoling several members who missed out on cabinet positions. He appointed Asapol as chairman of the Anti-Corruption Committee.


On 28 April 2026, Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, as leader of Bhumjaithai Party, convened a meeting with Bhumjaithai MPs and coalition partners, including Prachachat Party, Palang Pracharath Party, and smaller parties, all attending together.


The meeting aimed to finalize details ahead of the House of Representatives session scheduled for 29-30 April, including confirming the chairpersons of 14 parliamentary committees allocated to Bhumjaithai. The list of appointments was reportedly finalized as follows.


1. Mr. Watcharapong Kuwijitsuwan, MP from Saraburi, appointed chairman of the Police Committee.

2. Mr. Asapol Santraipob, MP from Sisaket, appointed chairman of the Anti-Corruption and Misconduct Prevention Committee.

3. Mr. Kongkrit Chatmalirot, MP from Ranong, appointed chairman of the Decentralization Committee.

4. Mrs. Thiwalrat Angkinan, MP from Phetchaburi, appointed chairwoman of the Religion Committee.

5. Mr. Thanayot Timsuang, MP from Loei, appointed chairman of the Administration Committee.

6. Mr. Supol Julsai, MP from Chumphon, appointed chairman of the Energy Committee.

7. Mr. Supachok Srisukjon, MP from Nakhon Pathom, appointed chairman of the Industry Committee.

8. Mr. Samrit Thansap, MP from Chaiyaphum, appointed chairman of the Commerce Committee.

9. Mr. Juti Krairerk, MP from Phitsanulok, appointed chairman of the Finance Committee.

10. Mr. Attapon Traisri, MP from Phangnga, appointed chairman of the Consumer Protection Committee.

11. Dr. Alongkot Maneekat, MP from Nakhon Phanom, appointed chairman of the Communications Committee.

12. Mr. Sarit Butnian, MP from Prachinburi, appointed chairman of the Debt Problem Resolution Committee.

13. Mr. Montien Songpracha, MP from Chainat, appointed chairman of the National Security Committee.

14. Miss Kulwalee Nopamornbodi, MP from Ratchaburi, appointed chairwoman of the Land Committee.
